Suge Knight Joins PETA Campaign

Suge Knight—animal rights activist?

The music exec pitches in to help fight against animal cruelty.

The Death Row Records founder may have a reputation for toughness, but in a new PETA ad, he's showing a more caring side. Suge will be helping PETA in its efforts to stop dog chaining, one of the many fronts in the animal rights organization's fight against animal cruelty.

“Dogs deserve our love and attention, not a life of ‘solitary confinement’ at the end of a chain,” Knight says in the upcoming ad, according to XXLmag.com. “Dogs depend on us to take care of them, to keep them safe and healthy. Chaining a dog is one of the cruelest things you can to do them — they are social animals.”

Suge isn't the only hip hop figure who's been courted by PETA. Recently Waka Flocka Flame appeared in ads for the organization that spoke out against the use of animal furs.

Thankfully Suge didn't opt for an all-nude promotion as Waka did.
